Welcome to Selkirk Middle School! I’m honored to serve as your principal and excited to partner with you in creating a school experience that is safe, engaging, and full of possibility for every student. As a leader, my core values — Kind, Strong, Committed — are more than just words; they guide every interaction, decision, and opportunity we create together. At Selkirk, we believe that safety — physical, emotional, and social — is the foundation for learning, and we commit to building a secure, structured environment with shared responsibility from all members of our community.

 

We recognize that middle school is a dynamic time of growth, discovery, and transition. Our approach centers on meeting students where they are and providing consistent, caring coaching to help them thrive. We strive to cultivate curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

 

At the heart of our work is high-quality teaching and learning. Our educators are prepared, collaborative, and focused on student success. Every instructional decision is made with students in mind, and we’re committed to using best practices that inspire creativity, inquiry, and motivation. This continuous reflection helps us keep learners at the center of everything we do.
